Head of Finance
My client is looking to appoint an Head of Finance on an interim basis with the option to move to permement.
Spencer Clarke Group are working in collaboration with them to recruit to the post.
About the role:
Based in West Midlands (Hybrid):
The Head of Finance will have overall responsibility for managing all financial aspects of the Trust including financial planning, management, and reporting.
The successful candidate will provide strategic financial advice to the Director of Resources and Governance and the wider executive management team to ensure financial and legal obligations are met.
What's on offer:
- Salary: £475 - £550 per day, inside IR35.

- Contract type: Contract (37 hrs a week)
- Hours: 09:00 -17:00 Monday to Friday
Responsibilities:
- To develop and implement the short, medium and long-term financial strategy, budgets and forecasts to support the trusts objectives in line with the client's financial governance structure.
- To oversee all financial transactions, accounting matters and cash flow management. To promote financial management and strong financial controls.
- To advise the Board and Executive Management Team on all financial issues relating to Children's Services and promote financial management and strong financial controls.
About you:
You will have the following experiences:
- Fully qualified Accountant - CIPFA, ACCA, CIMA.
- Significant senior management experience in managing and delivering major complex programmes of work.
- Significant experience of providing strategic financial advice in a local government and preferably children's services.
