Are you an experienced Finance Manager or aspiring finance professional looking for a new challenge?
We at Spencer Clarke Group are working with a London Local Authority to help appoint a permanent Finance Manager within their Capital Finance Team.
This role offers hybrid working with a mandatory requirement of one day within the office however if you live further afield then there is the possibility of two days in the office every fortnight.
We are seeking someone who is experienced within working within a local authority; if you haven’t worked within a local authority before, at this stage unfortunately we are unable to move forward with your application.
What you will be doing:
- Leading the Capital Finance Business Partnering team, managing a team of 3/4 employees.
- Working with services to develop business cases for large scale capital projects with a commercial mindset.
- Leading on financial modelling and investment/option appraisals for major projects for both revenue and capital.
- Leading on budget setting, monitoring and closing of Capital projects.
- Act as a key financial advisor providing strategic support and input on investments and projects.
- Supporting contract management and contract negotiations.
- Driving efficiency and value for money across the council.
The salary on offer for this position is between £62,457 to £70,401 per year.
