About the Role
Spencer Clarke Group is seeking a qualified and passionate English Teacher to work in mainstream secondary schools across Warrington. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and ECTs looking to gain flexible or long-term teaching experience.
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop their literacy, analytical, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential)
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Contribute to the wider school community where required
- Follow safeguarding and school procedures at all times
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
- Specialism in English Language and/or Literature
- Experience teaching in UK secondary schools
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A passion for English and student development
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
