£300 per day

3 month initial contract, likely to be extended

Hybrid working - Midlands Local Authority

On behalf of our Local Authority client in the Midlands, Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an experienced EHC Coordinator to successfully manage a caseload of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Acting as the primary point of contact for families, schools, and professionals, the EHC Coordinator will secure appropriate placements and support to achieve the most positive outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

Essential Requirements:

  • Local Authority experience with a strong understanding of SEN legislation, particularly the SEND Code of Practice and the Children and Families Act 2014.
  • Experience in managing caseloads and co-ordinating multi-agency support.
  • Committed to improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Manage a caseload of children and young people with SEND, ensuring placements and provision are appropriate, effective, and regularly reviewed.
  • Ensure EHCPs are legally compliant, outcome-focused, and reflect the individual needs and aspirations of the child or young person.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records and generate reports to inform performance monitoring and decision-making.

Skills required:

  • Ability to prioritise and manage a busy caseload while meeting statutory deadlines.
  • Able to interpret data to inform decisions and ensure provision meets identified needs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to convey complex information clearly to families and professionals.
