Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Customer Service Agent for a local authority client in North London.
In this role, you will be the first point of contact for residents, delivering clear, efficient support across phone, email, web, and face-to-face channels.
Duties:
- Handle enquiries across all channels, phone, email, web, and face-to-face - providing accurate advice and resolving issues promptly.
- Process payments and maintain records, including invoices, cash, cheque, and card transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Support customers in accessing services, promoting available facilities and assisting with digital and self-service options.
- Contribute to team performance, meeting targets, sharing knowledge, and adapting to new ways of working.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Experience delivering customer service in a face-to-face or telephone-based role.
- Confidence using IT and telephony systems in a service-focused environment
- Proven ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and communities.
- Experience handling challenging situations with professionalism and tact.
What's on offer:
Salary: £19ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
