Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our clients Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive psychiatric care to patients in acute crisis, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of evidence-based, person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and formulate individualized treatment plans for patients in the PICU.
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior medical staff, fostering a culture of learning and professional development.
- Collaborate closely with nursing staff, psychologists, and other allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of treatment strategies and care pathways.
- Actively engage in clinical governance activities, including audit, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with regulatory standards and best practice guidelines.
Requirements:
- Medical degree and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Specialist accreditation in Psychiatry and inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register (or eligibility for inclusion).
- Proven experience working in acute psychiatric settings, preferably within a PICU environment.
