We are currently working with a Local Authority in Manchester to appoint a Contracts and Commissioning Officer to join their Homelessness Commissioning Team!
This pivotal role will be responsible for delivering a range of commercial and commissioning services to an exemplary standard, ensuring value for money and aligning with the Council's priorities and financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Resource Planning: Develop and implement strategic approaches to resource planning, procurement, and commissioning, ensuring cost-effective and efficient service delivery.
- Commercial Performance: Provide expertise in commercial performance management, aiming to enhance service quality, customer satisfaction, and value for money.
- Contract Management: Lead the analysis of current practices, benchmark against best models, and maintain consistency. Deliver quality assurance and monitor contract management processes to ensure compliance with financial regulations and legislation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high standards of service delivery.
- Management Information: Oversee the production of accurate management information, ensuring timely and consistent reporting.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in a similar role within a commissioning or commercial environment.
