We are working with a local authority based in the Northeast region who are seeking an experienced Childcare Solicitor to join their team. The successful candidate will have extensive experience covering childcare related matters in a local authority setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and representation in care proceedings and family law matters.
• Manage legal queries from the Children and Young People Services Directorate.
• Conduct research to address more complex legal issues affecting operational matters.
• Collaborate with the legal team to ensure compliance with Law Society, Professional Standards and Lexcel accreditation.

Key Requirements

• Qualified legal professional with a current practising certificate
• Experienced in children's law, including care proceedings and family law matters.
• Strong research and legal analysis skills.
• The ability to provide clear legal advice on complex issues.
