Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Centre Assistant for a local authority client in North London.
In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while supporting the daily care and activities of young children at the Centre.
Key Duties:
- Carry out daily cleaning tasks, including floors, toilets, toys, and laundry, ensuring hygiene and safety standards are met.
- Prepare light snacks and assist with mealtime routines, including cleaning up spills and washing dishes.
- Support nursery staff with children's care, including toileting, dressing, and comforting, both indoors and outdoors.
- Set up and tidy away materials for activities and accompany children on visits or outings as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Experience in cleaning or domestic work, ideally in a childcare or similar setting.
- Ability to support the care and comfort of young children in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Basic food preparation skills and familiarity with hygiene standards.
- Experience working as part of a team and communicating effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
What's on offer:
Salary: £17ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
