Additional Needs Teaching Assistant - Preston

We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to support schools in Preston. This is a fantastic opportunity for a supportive, enthusiastic and proactive individual who is passionate about helping children thrive in the classroom.
The role may involve working across a range of year groups and abilities, providing both general classroom support and, in some cases, more focused 1:1 or small group intervention support.
The Role:

  • Supporting pupils in the classroom to help them stay engaged and make progress
  • Working closely with the class teacher to deliver planned activities
  • Providing 1:1 or small group support
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive and encouraging learning environment
  • Supporting children with additional needs where required


The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children in a school or similar setting
  • A positive, patient and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
  • A relevant qualification is desirable but not essential
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
