Accommodation Placement Manager

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an Accommodation Placement Manager for a Local Authority Client in East London.

In this role, you will lead a team delivering an effective, cost-efficient homelessness accommodation service, ensuring the Council meets its statutory duties through the best use of all available housing options.

Duties:

• Lead and manage a team delivering homelessness accommodation placements across all housing options, including temporary accommodation and private rented sector offers.
• Ensure the Council meets its statutory homelessness duties by securing timely and appropriate accommodation for households.
• Maximise effective use of housing stock by managing voids, meeting nomination timescales, and reducing unnecessary costs.
• Maintain accurate casework and financial records to support effective service delivery, compliance, and performance monitoring.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience managing teams within homelessness, housing options, or temporary accommodation services.
• Experience working with homelessness legislation and statutory duties in a local authority setting.
• Experience managing housing placements, including temporary accommodation and private sector accommodation pathways.
• Experience using case management and financial systems to ensure accurate recording, reporting, and service performance.

What's on offer:

Salary: £35ph+

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6 months minimum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
