Meet the Team - Annie Alty

We recently caught up with Associate Consultant, Annie Alty, to discover more about her career path so far and her impressive hidden talent. 

How long have you worked at Spencer Clarke Group?

I began my career at Spencer Clarke Group in March 2024. Everyone was so welcoming and I feel lucky to be part of the team! 

What does your role entail?

My role at Spencer Clarke Group entails sourcing Teachers and Teaching Assistants across the Lancashire area. 

I’m responsible for connecting with people who are looking to find their next role within education. I work alongside primary, secondary and SEND schools.

What do you love most about what you do?

I love being able to meet new people and learn all about their stories. I also love that I can help people find and pursue their dream career paths.

What motivates you at work?

I’m motivated by the supportive work environment and watching everyone succeed. Seeing the smiles on people’s faces after being told we can help them is also very motivating! 

How would you describe working at Spencer Clarke Group?

Spencer Clarke Group is like no other. Everyone is so enthusiastic about what they do and there’s a great atmosphere from the minute you arrive to when you leave at the end of the day. The support from every member of the team is unmatched. 

Tell us about your career path so far. 

Before starting my position as an Associate Consultant at Spencer Clarke Group, I worked in an employment law firm where I was able to develop my communication skills. 

After a year in this role, I saw the opportunity at Spencer Clarke Group and decided that I wanted to join the world of recruitment. I'm so glad I did! 

How would your colleagues describe you?

I think they would describe me as funny, chatty, friendly and energetic.

Where are we most likely to find you outside of work?

Outside of work, you'll most likely find me cooking at home or out with my mum.

Tell us something we’d never guess about you!

I can speak Spanish and have been able to since I was 5 years old! 

What’s next for you at Spencer Clarke Group?

In the future, I hope to become a Recruitment Consultant. I’m always aiming to advance my knowledge and skills within recruitment, so that’s definitely the next step for me.

What’s your favourite film?

The Hangover.

Where’s the best place you’ve travelled to?

Ibiza.

What advice would you give to your young self?

Don’t care what anyone else thinks, it’s your life, live it!

Scott Thomas.

What three items would you take with you to a deserted island?

My mum, a hairbrush and a bottle of carrot oil!

Do you have any pets?

Yes, I have 3 Cockapoos called Dudley, Daphne and Uno.

Do you have any hidden talents?

I can learn other languages quickly.

What’s the best gig you’ve been to?

Take That.

What animal is your spirit animal?

A dog.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Cheesy mash and beans.
