How Walking Your Dog Is Helping Your Career

1-2 minutes

If you are lucky enough to own a four-legged friend, you will know how important it is to give them plenty of fresh air and exercise. However, as important as it is for your dog, it is just as vital to your wellbeing too!

Spending time outdoors is extremely beneficial for your physical and mental health and it can be the perfect antidote to a blur of Zoom meetings and an ever growing to-do list.

Fresh air increases the amount of oxygen in your body and in turn this supports white blood cells working more efficiently. As a result, your energy is boosted, brain function is improved and the body’s immune system is able to fight off illnesses more efficiently.

Walking also releases endorphins within our bodies which can have a significant positive impact on our wellbeing and mood. Did you know? Being physically active actually helps to lower the risk of clinical depression.

As well as helping with your mental state of mind, walking can help with your physical appearance which can improve your body confidence. A brisk 30 minute walk could burn up to 300 calories!

All in all, even just a 15 minute walk each day will help you to feel revitalised, happy and energised which can have a significant positive impact on your wellbeing which will carry over into your career.

If you are in need of a natural immune booster and you would like to find some new places to explore with your furry friend, we have rounded up some favourite dog walking spots across the UK!
