Spencer Clarke Group are working in partnership with a specialist SEMH school in Salford to recruit a Youth Mentor to support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.

This is a rewarding, full-time role for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference in young people's lives.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis

  • Building positive, trusting relationships with students

  • Supporting emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement in learning

  • Acting as a positive role model and mentor throughout the school day

  • Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and pastoral teams

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviour (school or youth work settings)

  • Calm, patient and resilient approach

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Passion for supporting vulnerable young people

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
