We're currently working with a valued public sector client who is looking to appoint a Personal Advisor to join their Leaving Care Team in Durham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for supporting young people and helping them make a successful transition into independent living.
In this role, you will:
- Be allocated young people and work with them to create and review Pathway Plans.
- Provide practical advice and emotional support as they settle in Durham.
- Assist young people in securing housing, accessing education, training or employment, and improving their health and emotional wellbeing.
- Act as a consistent, reliable source of guidance as they develop independence and life skills.
The successful candidate will be empathetic, resilient, and confident in building positive relationships with young people. Previous experience within social care, youth support or a similar environment is highly desirable.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine difference while working with a supportive team.
Contract length: 3/6 months, with expectation of extension.
Rate of Pay: £14.00-£17.00
Working hours: Fulltime, 37 hours per week.
