Year 6 Interventions Teaching Assistant - Primary School

Spencer Clarke Group are working closely with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Skelmersdale who are seeking a dedicated Year 6 Interventions Teaching Assistant to join their team from January 2026 for the remainder of the academic year.
This role is ideal for a confident and motivated teaching assistant who is passionate about helping pupils reach their full potential, particularly in the run-up to SATs.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted Maths and English interventions to small groups and individual Year 6 pupils.
Support the class teacher in preparing pupils for their SATs assessments.
Track pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure effective support for all learners.
Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that builds confidence and resilience.
Assist with general classroom duties and provide additional support when required.
Requirements:
Experience supporting upper KS2 pupils, ideally in Year 6.
Knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum and the expectations of SATs preparation.
Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A patient, proactive, and adaptable approach to supporting learning.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
