A warm, welcoming primary school in the FY6 area is recruiting for two exciting teaching positions. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive, child-centred team and make a real impact in Early Years and Key Stage 1.

Year 1 Teacher - Maternity Cover (12 Months)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Year 1 Teacher to cover a 12-month maternity leave. You'll support children as they move from EYFS into Key Stage 1 and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that build confidence, independence, and early academic skills.

What You'll Do

Teach and inspire a lovely Year 1 class.

Deliver high-quality lessons and phonics teaching.

Support the transition from EYFS to KS1.

Track progress and provide clear feedback.

Create a positive, structured classroom environment.

What We're Looking For

QTS (ECTs with KS1 experience welcome).

Strong understanding of phonics and early literacy.

Confident classroom and behaviour management.

Team player with a proactive, positive approach.

EYFS Nursery Teacher

We are also recruiting a caring, creative Nursery Teacher to join the school's Early Years team. You'll play a central role in developing early learning through play-based, child-led and adult-led activities.

What You'll Do

Plan and deliver a strong, play-based EYFS curriculum.

Set up engaging indoor and outdoor provision.

Observe, assess, and document progress.

Build supportive relationships with families.

Support children at all stages of early development.

What We're Looking For

QTS, EYTS or EYPS (depending on role).

Strong EYFS curriculum knowledge.

Nurturing, approachable, and creative teaching style.

Passionate about early learning and child development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
