We are seeking compassionate, resilient and proactive individuals to join primary and secondary schools as Unqualified Teaching Assistants. This is an excellent opportunity for those with transferable skills who are passionate about supporting children and young people, particularly those with additional needs.
The Role
As an Unqualified Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils in class on a 1:1 or small group basis
Assist children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
Provide emotional and behavioural support
Help create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning
We Are Looking For Individuals Who Have Experience In:
Residential care or children's homes
Support work (young people or vulnerable adults)
Pastoral or behavioural support roles
Youth work or mentoring
Personal care or SEN support
Mental health or safeguarding settings
You do not need formal school-based experience. If you understand behaviour management, safeguarding, emotional regulation and building positive relationships, your skills are highly valuable in education.

Have strong communication skills
Be confident supporting challenging behaviour
Remain calm under pressure
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare
Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
