This setting is a bespoke provision for 11-16-year-olds with SEMH needs. It combines the strongest aspects of both mainstream and specialist environments to create a place where young people can thrive and work towards meaningful futures. Main purpose of the role:
To support pupils with their learning and wellbeing, ensuring each child has the best possible opportunity to reach their full potential in a safe, caring environment. This may include assisting with care needs and using positive behaviour-management strategies tailored to the individual.
Key duties:
Build warm, supportive relationships that help pupils feel safe, engaged, and ready to learn.
Promote independence, personal development, and consistently high expectations of behaviour.
Assist in delivering high-quality, differentiated learning activities across a broad and balanced curriculum.
Support the Class Teacher in the day-to-day running of the classroom.
Adapt flexibly to the changing needs of the school to ensure smooth daily operations.
Support pupils' cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical, and spiritual development.
Work effectively within a multi-professional team.
Under the guidance of senior staff, complete required documentation relating to incidents, health, behaviour, and other records.
