Unqualified Teaching Assistant - SEN Support
Location: Blackpool
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Ongoing / Long-term
Hours: Monday - Friday, Term Time
Salary: Competitive daily rate
We are currently recruiting Unqualified Teaching Assistants to provide SEN support within primary and secondary schools across Blackpool, starting immediately.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience working with children or supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs who are looking to build a rewarding career within education.
The Role:
Provide 1:1 or small-group support to pupils with SEN, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties
Support pupils with engagement, emotional regulation, and access to learning
Assist with classroom activities under the guidance of the class teacher
Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Support pupils during transitions, break times, and structured activities
The Ideal Candidate:
Has prior experience working with children or supporting individuals with SEN (education, care, youth work, support work, or similar backgrounds welcomed)
Is patient, resilient, and compassionate
Has strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Is available to start work immediately

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
