Unqualified Teaching Assistant - SEND / 1:1 Support (Primary School)
Location: Skelmersdale
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Temporary (Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available)
Pay: £106 per day

Spencer Clarke Group are working with supportive and inclusive primary schools in Skelmersdale who are seeking caring and committed Unqualified Teaching Assistants to provide SEND and 1:1 support across the school.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with additional needs and are looking to gain hands-on experience within a primary school environment.

Whether you've supported children in a care setting, worked with young people in the community, or gained experience through personal or voluntary roles, you could be exactly who we're looking for.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support for pupils with SEND.

  • Support pupils with learning, behaviour, communication and emotional regulation.

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering inclusive classroom activities.

  • Help adapt learning materials to meet individual pupil needs.

  • Promote a safe, nurturing and positive learning environment.

  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children or young people in any setting.

  • A patient, calm and empathetic approach.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • A genuine interest in SEND and inclusive education.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
