Unqualified Teaching Assistant - SEND Support (Primary School)
Location: Ellesmere Port
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary (with potential for temp-to-perm)
Pay: £106 per day

Spencer Clarke Group are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Ellesmere Port who are seeking a compassionate and committed Unqualified Teaching Assistant to provide SEND support within the school.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and is looking to gain valuable experience within a primary school setting.

Whether you've supported children in a care setting, worked with young people in the community, or gained experience through personal or voluntary roles, you could be exactly who we're looking for.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND.

  • Support pupils with learning, behaviour, communication and emotional regulation.

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons.

  • Help pupils access the curriculum through adapted resources and strategies.

  • Promote a safe, positive and nurturing learning environment.

  • Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs and external professionals.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children or young people in any setting (education, care, youth work, personal or voluntary).

  • A calm, patient and empathetic approach.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • A genuine interest in SEND and inclusive education.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
