We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Unqualified Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Primary SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provision in the Eccles (M30) area.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs. Previous experience working with children is desirable; however, transferable skills are also warmly accepted (e.g. care work, youth work, coaching, support roles).

Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils with SEMH needs in the classroom and during activities
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering structured and engaging lessons
- Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs
- Helping pupils regulate emotions and manage behaviour positively
- Encouraging engagement, confidence, and social development
- Supporting classroom routines, structure, and organisation
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all pupils at all times
Requirements
- Experience working with children OR transferable skills (care, support work, youth work, coaching)
- Calm, patient, and consistent approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children
- Passion for supporting children with SEMH needs
