We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Unqualified Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in the Rochdale (OL1) area, working within a SEND provision.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in education, with previous experience working with children or transferable skills being highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting students with SEND across the classroom and school environment
  • Working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging and accessible lessons
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional regulation
  • Assisting with classroom organisation and daily routines
  • Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all pupils at all times


Requirements

  • Experience working with children OR transferable skills (e.g. care, support work, youth work, coaching)
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
  • Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
