About the Role
A specialist SEND school in Chorley is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school supports pupils across both primary and secondary phases, offering a varied and engaging environment.
This role is ideal for individuals from care or support-based backgrounds who are looking to transition into education.
Key Responsibilities
Provide classroom support across a range of subjects and age groups
Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils with additional needs
Support behaviour management and engagement in learning
Assist with personal care in a respectful and dignified manner
Collaborate with teachers and support staff to meet pupil needs
Encourage independence and confidence in pupils
Who We're Looking For
Experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, or similar
A genuine passion for supporting children with SEND
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Adaptable and calm under pressure
Open to working across primary or secondary (or both)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
