Un-Qualified Teaching Assistant - Specialist Provisions

Burnley, East Lancashire
£110-£115 per day (6.5-hour days)
Full-Time | Term Time Only
Monday-Friday | 8:30am-3:30pm

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work within specialist provisions in and around the Burnley area.

This is a full-time, term-time only role, supporting students with a range of additional needs including SEND and SEMH. You will play a key role in helping pupils access education, develop confidence, and thrive in a structured environment.

Role Responsibilities

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Assisting the teacher with tailored and differentiated learning activities
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Helping create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment

Requirements

  • Experience working with children, or within a care/support/health setting
  • Alternatively, personal experience supporting individuals with additional needs
  • Minimum 24 months employment references with no large unexplained gaps
  • Willing to pay for and apply for an Enhanced Child DBS and register it on the Update Service
  • Patient, resilient, and committed to supporting young people
