Temporary Accommodation Officer

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Temporary Accommodation Officer for a Local Authority Client in Southwest London.

In this role, you will support households in temporary accommodation to move into settled homes by assessing their needs and matching them to suitable properties.

Duties:

• Assess move-on needs, update housing records, and prepare households for transition into settled accommodation.
• Work with Lettings Negotiators to identify suitable properties and ensure offers are efficiently allocated.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external agencies to secure necessary support and resolve barriers to moving.
• Guide households on tenancy responsibilities, benefits, and community integration to ensure sustainable moves

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

• Experience supporting diverse and at-risk households in housing or homelessness services.
• Proven ability to manage a personal caseload, prioritise tasks, and meet performance targets.
• Skilled in negotiating on behalf of clients and liaising with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience delivering high-quality services in a pressured environment and using IT systems to manage cases.

What's on offer:

Salary: £190 per day

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
