Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? Our welcoming Secondary SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Bolton is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant - Intervention Worker to join our supportive team.
About the Role
As an Intervention Worker, you will:
Provide targeted academic and emotional support to students with SEMH needs
Deliver small-group and 1:1 interventions to help pupils re-engage with learning
Build positive, trusting relationships with students to promote confidence and wellbeing
Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external professionals
Help create a safe, inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
Two relevant references covering the last 24 months
Experience supporting children or young people, ideally within SEMH or similar settings
A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach
