Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Specialist Provisions

Location: Chorley, Lancashire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30 (Term Time Only)
Contract: Full-Time and Part-Time Roles Available (depending on your availability)
Pay: £106 - £115 per day (depending on experience and travel)
Start Date: ASAP (subject to completion of vetting checks)

The Role:
We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to work within specialist provisions across the Chorley area of Lancashire, supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs. These rewarding roles are available on both a full-time and part-time basis, offering flexibility to suit your availability.

As part of an experienced and supportive team, you'll play a key role in helping pupils achieve their full potential, both academically and personally. You'll assist with learning activities, behaviour support, and personal care, ensuring every pupil receives the highest level of support and encouragement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children and young people with additional needs in an SEN school environment.

  • Assist with classroom activities and encourage pupil engagement.

  • Provide or support with personal care where required.

  • Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff while also using your initiative when working independently.

Requirements:

  • Personal or professional experience supporting individuals with additional needs.

  • Must hold (or be willing to apply and pay for) an Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service.

  • A minimum of 24 months' employment references with no large gaps in employment.

  • Proactive, resilient, and confident working with children with complex needs.

  • Availability Monday to Friday during term time.
