Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Complex Needs)

We are a specialist SEN school in Oldham, providing outstanding education and care for children aged 4-19 with a wide range of complex needs, including autism, severe learning difficulties (SLD), and associated behavioural challenges.

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant who:

✅ Has Team-Teach certification (essential)
✅ Has experience working with children or young people with complex needs
✅ Can work effectively as part of a supportive and multidisciplinary team
✅ Brings patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude to every day
✅ Can implement personalised strategies to support emotional regulation and learning

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups, both in and out of the classroom

• Assisting with personal care and managing challenging behaviour in line with Team-Teach strategies

• Working closely with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored learning and care plans

• Creating a safe, inclusive and engaging environment where every child can thrive
