About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teacher to join a supportive specialist school in Chorley. This is a fantastic opportunity for both Primary and Secondary trained teachers, with positions available across both phases within the same setting.

This role is ideal for teachers currently in mainstream education who are considering a move into SEND. Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

  • Support students with varying needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff
  • Monitor and track student progress, adapting approaches where necessary
  • Build strong relationships with pupils to support both academic and emotional development


The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND (in either a specialist or mainstream setting) is highly desirable
  • Open to teachers transitioning from mainstream education into SEND
  • Patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs
  • Strong classroom management and adaptability
