Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a TA Visiting Officer for a Local Authority Client in Berkshire.
In this role, you will visit and assess temporary accommodation, support residents, and help ensure housing is safe, suitable, and well-managed.
Duties:
- Visit temporary accommodation to assess safety, suitability, and standards.
- Engage with residents and identify safeguarding or well being concerns.
- Detect, prevent, and report housing-related fraud.
- Maintain records and work with internal teams and providers to improve services.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Experience working in housing, homelessness, or a related field.
- Experience visiting properties and engaging with residents
- Experience supporting vulnerable people.
- Experience completing assessments or monitoring compliance.
*ESSENTIAL* - Must have clean driving licence and access to vehicle to enable visits to be conducted across the borough
What's on offer:
Salary: £30ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
