Speialist Housing Officer

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Specialist Housing Officer for a Local Authority Client in West London.

In this role, you will support older and vulnerable residents by managing tenancies, coordinating services, and enhancing their quality of life within sheltered housing.

Duties:

• Manage tenancies, address breaches, support rent payments, and ensure properties and communal areas are safe, clean, and well-maintained.
• Help residents access housing and support services, facilitate social activities, and enhance their quality of life.
• Work with internal teams, contractors, and external partners to deliver repairs, rehousing, and tailored services efficiently.
• Inspect schemes, maintain records, ensure health and safety compliance, and contribute to service improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

• Understanding of housing management, tenancy administration, and working with older or vulnerable residents.
• Experience in customer-facing roles, dealing sensitively and effectively with diverse individuals.
• Ability to use IT systems to maintain accurate records, retrieve information, and support service delivery.
• Knowledge of safeguarding principles and experience ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

What's on offer:

Salary: £22ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
