We are seeking a caring, patient and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our supportive school community in Warwickshire. The successful candidate will provide tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to ensure all children can access learning in a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment. The role involves delivering one-to-one and small group interventions, supporting the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), adapting learning activities to meet individual needs, and using appropriate strategies to support communication, social interaction and positive behaviour. You will play a key role in promoting pupils' academic progress as well as their social and emotional development, monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff. The position also includes assisting with classroom preparation, supporting pupils during transitions and break times, and contributing to a collaborative team approach focused on high expectations and inclusive practice. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD or speech and language difficulties, demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills, and show a clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
