Social Work Officer

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Social Work Officer for a local authority client in North London.

In this role, you will support adults and carers through strengths-based assessments, care planning, and practical interventions that promote independence, wellbeing, and access to vital services.

Duties:

• Carry a caseload of non-complex cases, completing strengths-based assessments, reviews, and support plans.
• Provide practical support, including arranging care packages, respite, living aids, and access to welfare benefits.
• Work collaboratively with residents, carers, and multi-disciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records, attend safeguarding meetings, and complete CHC checklists where required.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

• Experience working in a fast-paced adult social care environment, including front door services and hospital discharge.
• Knowledge of strengths-based practice and adult assessment processes.
• Skilled in supporting residents and carers with practical solutions, including care planning and welfare access.
• Confident in maintaining accurate case records and contributing to safeguarding and multidisciplinary team working.

What's on offer:

Salary: £19ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
