Social Care Officer

We are searching for a Social Care Officer on behalf of one of our clients in the Newcastle Upon Tyne area, this role is predominately based around Family Time.

As a Social Care Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting children and families by:

• Overseeing supervised Family Time sessions between children and their parents and/or immediate family members.

• Safely transporting children to and from Family Time sessions.

• Observing and recording interactions during sessions, offering advice and guidance when required.

• Supporting the assessment of parental capacity and ensuring the safety and well-being of children at all times.

• Providing positive interventions to deliver an outstanding Family Time Service.

We are looking for individuals who:

• Have experience working with children, young people, and families - particularly those who may be vulnerable, emotional, or face challenging circumstances.

• Are reliable, empathetic, and able to maintain professional boundaries.

• Possess strong communication and observation skills.

• Hold a valid driving licence and are confident transporting children safely.

Contract length: 3-6 months (with expectation of an ongoing extension)

Rate of Pay: £16-£20 per hour DOE

Hours: Full time, 37 hours each week.
