Service Leader

We are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority in Greenwich to appoint an experienced Service Leader to join their Adolescent Safeguarding & Well-Being Service on a project basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and shape services that make a tangible difference to the lives of young people and families.

About the Role

As Service Leader, you will oversee and continuously improve the quality, performance, and effectiveness of teams delivering children's social care services. You will drive high standards of practice, ensuring that young people at risk of harm, vulnerability, or exploitation receive responsive, holistic, and impactful support.

Your leadership will be instrumental in:

• Developing and implementing service improvements that enhance outcomes for children and young people.
• Embedding a child-centred approach, ensuring their voices shape the services they receive.
• Inspiring, motivating, and supporting frontline managers and practitioners to deliver excellence.
• Challenging and improving professional and managerial practice to achieve the best possible results.
• Overseeing quality assurance, performance management, and service design to maximise efficiency and impact.

About You

You will be a qualified and experienced social care professional with a proven record of leading children's services. Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills are essential, as is a deep commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
