Senior Internal Auditor
A Local Authority in The North West are looking to appoint a Senior Internal Auditor on an Interim basis. Spencer Clarke Group are working with the client to find the successful candidate.
What's on offer:
- Rates: £300 - £400 per day, inside IR35.
*Negotiable based on experience

About the role:
The purpose of the role Is to support the development of the Internal Audit Service and its professional objectives through taking responsibility for the audit of a portfolio of large and relatively complex audit engagements within the county council and its external clients.
Based in the North West (Hybrid)
Responsibilities:
- With the support of the audit managers and the head of internal audit, develops the audit engagement scope and methodology.
- Identifies the key risks and related controls relating to the areas under review.
- Determines the audit approach that will obtain the evidence we require to draw a sound opinion.
About you:
You will have the following experience:
- Experienced in Public Sector Internal Audit Standards and related guidance issued by the Institute of Internal Auditors and CIPFA, and the wider expectations of the profession.
