Senior Clinician - ADOS Autism Assessments (Face-to-Face)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Clinician to join our specialist neurodevelopmental assessment team, delivering face-to-face ADOS-2 assessments in Bromsgrove.
This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician with strong autism diagnostic experience who is passionate about providing high-quality, person-centred assessments for children and young people.
Role Requirements & Capacity
The successful candidate will be expected to complete up to 4 ADOS assessments per day, ensuring timely delivery of assessments while maintaining excellent clinical standards and patient experience.
Key Responsibilities

• Conduct ADOS-2 assessments as part of multidisciplinary autism diagnostic pathways
• Complete high-quality clinical documentation and reports in line with NICE guidance
• Deliver assessments efficiently while maintaining a supportive, child-centred approach
• Work collaboratively with families, schools, and partner professionals
• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior staff where appropriate
• Maintain excellent standards of safeguarding, record keeping, and professional practice

Essential Requirements

• Registered clinician (e.g., Clinical Psychologist, Psychiatrist or Paediatrician)
• Significant experience in autism diagnostic assessment
• ADOS-2 training and demonstrated competency
• Confidence delivering assessments face-to-face
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider MDT

Desirable Skills

• Experience in senior or supervisory roles
• ADI-R training
• Knowledge of wider neurodevelopmental presentations (ADHD, learning disability, etc.)
