Spencer Clarke Group are working with a respected private children's residential service to recruit for several experienced Senior Residential Support Worker for a permanent position based in Liverpool.

This is a fantastic permanent opportunity to join a high-quality, nurturing children's service committed to delivering exceptional care to young people. You'll play a key role in supporting the management team and leading shifts to ensure the smooth running of the home.

You will work within a three bed services, each supporting up to three young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe environment by identifying, recording, and escalating safeguarding concerns in line with statutory guidance.
  • Lead shifts, allocate tasks, ensure safe staffing levels, and provide guidance and support to the staff team.
  • Deliver nurturing, trauma-informed care that promotes young people's emotional, social, and educational development, encouraging independence and positive routines.
  • Build meaningful relationships with allocated young people, complete key work sessions, and contribute to assessments, placement plans, and risk management.
  • Promote positive behaviour using deescalation strategies, uphold behaviour management policies, and support the physical and emotional wellbeing of children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare is essential.
  • Experience supporting children and young people.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding practices.
  • Confident communication and leadership abilities.
  • Previous experience in senior or shift-leading role.
  • Previous experience in trauma-informed practice.
  • Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential.


Contract Type: Permanent.
Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour - £60 Per Sleep
Working pattern - Shift work including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins as required
