Rate: £55-£65 per hour - Negotiable DOE
Contract Length: 9-12-month initial contract

We are seeking an experienced Adult Social Care Lawyer to join a local authority in the northwest region.

The Role

• Manage and develop the Adult Legal Team, including supervision, mentoring, recruitment and performance management.
• Undertake a complex and high-profile caseload, resolving legally and politically sensitive matters and setting precedents for future cases.
• Represent the Council in Courts, Tribunals, Inquiries and Committees, including undertaking advocacy at all levels where appropriate.

About You

• You will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEX with a current practising certificate.
• Strong experience advising on adult social care and mental health law within a public law framework.
• Significant experience representing a local authority in Courts, Tribunals, Inquiries, Committees and other meetings, including advocacy at all appropriate levels.
