A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Greenwich is seeking an experienced and passionate SENDCo to join their team for the Summer Term on a long-term supply basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional who is committed to ensuring that every child receives the support they need to succeed.
As SENDCo, you will play a key role in leading and developing the school's SEND provision. You will work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure pupils with additional needs receive high-quality support and achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the school's SEND provision across the primary phase
- Identify and assess pupils with special educational needs and disabilities
- Develop, implement, and review EHCPs and support plans
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents, and external professionals
- Provide guidance and training to staff to support inclusive classroom practice
- Monitor the progress of SEND pupils and ensure appropriate interventions are in place
- Ensure the school remains compliant with SEND legislation and statutory guidance
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Holds or is working towards the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo)
- Has previous experience as a SENDCo or in a SEND leadership role within a primary school
- Strong understanding of EHCP processes and SEND Code of Practice
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Passionate about inclusive education and supporting pupils with additional needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
