SEND Tutor - Preston (Remote Options Available)
£35 per hour | Flexible Hours
We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate SEND Tutor to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This role is based in Preston, with remote tutoring opportunities available for the right candidate.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tutor who is passionate about making a measurable difference, delivering personalised learning, and working flexibly around their existing commitments.
The Role
You will provide 1:1 or small-group tuition tailored to the individual needs of learners with SEND, which may include:
- ASD
- ADHD
- SEMH
- Moderate to complex learning needs
Sessions may take place in the community, at home, or online, depending on learner needs and suitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, personalised tuition sessions
- Adapt teaching strategies to suit individual learning styles and needs
- Support academic progress, confidence, and engagement
- Provide feedback and progress updates where required
- Build positive, professional relationships with learners and families
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND
- Strong understanding of differentiated and inclusive teaching approaches
- Teaching, tutoring, or specialist support background (QTS desirable but not essential)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Reliable, professional, and empathetic approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
