Teaching Assistant - SEN Resource Provision

£16.90 per hour

A welcoming primary school in Birmingham is looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team full time from April 2026. This role will be based within the school's resource provision, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs to access learning, develop confidence, and thrive in a structured and nurturing environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of children with additional needs.

The role will include:

  • Supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 and small group basis

  • Assisting the class teacher and wider staff team within the resource provision

  • Helping to deliver tailored learning and intervention activities

  • Supporting pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and engagement

  • Creating a positive, safe, and encouraging learning environment

  • Promoting independence, confidence, and progress throughout the school day

The school is looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a school or similar setting

  • Is patient, nurturing, and proactive in their approach

  • Can build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

  • Is confident supporting a range of additional needs

  • Has a genuine passion for supporting children in education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
