Teaching Assistant - SEND / SEMH (Primary & Secondary)
Location: Norwich & Norfolk
Setting: Primary and Secondary SEND / SEMH Provisions
Hours: Full-Time or Part-Time (Term Time)
Pay: £106-£110 per day
We are seeking committed and resilient Teaching Assistants to support pupils with SEND and SEMH needs across a range of primary and secondary provisions in Norwich and the wider Norfolk area.
This is a highly rewarding role for individuals who are passionate about supporting vulnerable children and young people and who can adapt confidently to different school environments.
The Role
Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND and SEMH needs
Supporting emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement with learning
Working closely with teachers and SEN teams to implement support strategies
Creating safe, structured, and nurturing learning environments
Supporting pupils across multiple school settings as required
Who We're Looking For
Experience working with children or young people in education, youth work, or support work
Confidence supporting pupils with SEND and/or SEMH needs
Ability to travel to different locations across Norwich and Norfolk
A calm, patient, and resilient approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Relevant personal experience supporting children with additional needs (valued)
Desirable Qualifications
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Childcare or Social Care qualifications
SEND or SEMH-related training or CPD
