SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary & Secondary (Skelmersdale)
Location: Skelmersdale
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30
Contract: Term Time Only
Pay: £106 per day
We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school environment in Skelmersdale, working with primary and/or secondary pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
This is a highly rewarding role for someone who has hands-on experience supporting children or young people with additional needs and is committed to helping pupils thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
The Role
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND
Support learning, engagement, and emotional regulation
Assist with behaviour support using positive, inclusive approaches
Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to implement support strategies
Help create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
Who We're Looking For
Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, Care Worker, or Youth Worker, or relevant personal experience supporting children with additional needs
Experience working with SEND pupils in primary or secondary settings
A calm, patient, and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEND
