SEND Teaching Assistant - Preston
Location: Preston
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30
Contract: Term Time Only
Pay: £106 per day
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in a school setting in Preston.
This role is ideal for individuals with hands-on experience supporting children or young people, either professionally or personally, who are passionate about making a positive impact in education.
The Role
Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND
Supporting learning, engagement, and emotional regulation
Assisting with behaviour support and daily routines
Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to support pupil progress
Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
Requirements
Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, Care Worker, or Youth Worker, or relevant personal experience supporting children with additional needs
A patient, resilient, and caring approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to working Monday to Friday, term time only
