Summary:
A nurturing, patient and reliable SEND Teaching Assistant is needed in a warm, supportive Preston primary school. Ideal for someone with strong interpersonal skills and experience working with children or vulnerable individuals in the UK.
A welcoming primary school in Preston is looking for a compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This role suits someone who can offer calm, consistent support to pupils with additional needs.
The school is happy to consider applicants from transferable backgrounds such as care work, support work, youth work or residential care, but UK-based work experience is essential.
The Role:
Providing 1:1 or small-group SEND support
Helping pupils regulate, access learning and build confidence
Working alongside the class teacher and SENCO
Supporting routines, communication and emotional wellbeing
What We're Looking For:
A patient, caring and resilient approach
Experience working in the UK (essential)
Transferable skills from supportive roles
A genuine passion for helping children with SEND

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
