SEND Teaching Assistant - Newcastle

We are currently working with a range of SEN and SEMH schools across Newcastle and the surrounding areas who are looking for committed SEND Teaching Assistants to support on both short-term and long-term supply basis.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference, supporting pupils both in and out of the classroom.

The Role:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN and SEMH
• Support students with needs such as autism, ADHD, and behavioural challenges
• Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
• Help create a safe, structured and inclusive environment
• Support with behaviour management using a calm and consistent approach

• Experience working within SEN and/or SEMH settings
• Strong behaviour management skills
• A patient, resilient and nurturing approach
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A genuine passion for supporting young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
