SEND Teaching Assistant - Blackpool
Are you a caring, patient and proactive Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities?
We are currently recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Blackpool. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils who require additional support to access learning and thrive in the classroom.
The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers, the SENDCo and wider school staff to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of needs, which may include autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, SEMH and learning difficulties.
The role will include:
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Adapting learning activities to meet individual needs
Encouraging engagement, confidence and independence
Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour
Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
Helping to create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience working with children or young people with SEND
Is calm, resilient and approachable
Can build strong relationships and act as a positive role model
Has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
Works well as part of a team and uses initiative when needed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
